The Colorado Department of Public Health (CDPHE) is in the process of creating a regional peer-to-peer network across Colorado for newborn screening (NBS). As part of this effort, we will be hosting four upcoming events across the state. These events are the program’s attempt to seed a regional peer-to-peer network for NBS.

Details for each event can be found using the links below. Space is limited, so registration is required. A “register” button should appear on each linked web page.

Our ultimate goal is to create a sustainable peer-to-peer network that will raise awareness about newborn screening and help to drive best practices in each region of Colorado. We hope the audience at these events will include colleagues from all parts of the broader NBS system — state lab staff, hospital lab staff, specialists, pediatricians, family medicine physicians, nurses, midwives, couriers, IT specialists, parents, etc.

Funding for these events is being provided by a grant from NewSTEPs 360 awarded to the CO and WY NBS Programs. The event in Fort Collins on August 14th will include our colleagues from Wyoming.
