The Colorado chapter of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science has recognized the importance of choosing this career opportunity and would like to assist 2 deserving Colorado students with a scholarship. The two 2016 award amounts are $500 each.


1. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and reside in or attend school in Colorado.

2 Applicant must be a member of ASCLS when the application is received.

3. Applicant must be accepted into a NAACLS accredited program in clinical laboratory science to include

Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technician.

4. Applicant must be ENTERING or ALREADY IN his/her last year of study as of September 1st, 2016.

5. Clinical rotations must be done in Colorado.

6. Official transcripts and two letters of reference are required to complete the application.

7. Only completed applications postmarked by November 26, 2016 will be evaluated.

Scholarship winner announcement will be made by December 21, 2016. All applicants will be notified by mail before December 21 and the winners will also be introduced at the Clinical Laboratory Collaborative Conference in spring of 2017.

ASCLS E &R Fund, Inc Scholarships 


ALPHA MU TAU FRATERNITY is a national laboratory fraternity whose purpose is the advancement of professionals in the clinical laboratory sciences. One of the prime activities of the fraternity is the granting of graduate and undergraduate scholarships.  Scholarship recipients will be announced during the Awards Program at the ASCLS Annual Meeting in July, 2016, and checks will be distributed at that time. Applicants will be notified of Committee action following the completion of deliberations.

AMTF administers the ASCLS E & R Fund, Inc.  Graduate and Undergraduate Scholarship Program. One Graduate Scholarship up to $3000, and several Undergraduate Scholarships up to $1500 will be awarded to deserving students in NAACLS accredited CLS/MT or CLT/MLT programs. The Edward C. Colby awards were added in 2012.  These scholarships use the same application as the AMTF scholarship above. 

Undergraduate applicants must be entering or in their last year of study in 2016. All applicants must be ASCLS members.

Only completed applications postmarked by April 1, 2016 will be evaluated.
